Summer Trip to Rokansaari and Nestorinranta

"In the island of Saimaa, a little cottage. Nestori Miikkulainen sits on the porch. Playing his harmonica, and the seal surfaces with a splash..." On this trip, you have the opportunity to spend a summer day on Rokansaari or visit Nestorinranta, where you can enjoy pancake coffee. This trip is organized on Thursdays: 3.7., 17.7., 31.7., and 14.8.

Schedule of the trip

9:00 AM Departure from Mikkeli Travel Center
9:05 AM Departure from Mikkeli Market Square charter bus stop. If necessary, the bus will drive to Puumala harbor via Pistohiekka, Pistocamp, and Sahanlahti.
11:00 AM Departure for the cruise on M/S Kaunis Veera
11:35 AM Departure from Sahanlahti
12:30 PM Arrival at Rokansaari. The shared visit time on Rokansaari is about 30 minutes.
NOTE! If you wish, you can stay longer, in which case the visit time on Rokansaari is about 3 hours (pickup time around 3:15 PM).
1:00 PM Departure towards Nestorinranta
1:45 PM - 2:30 PM Visit to Nestorinranta, after which we return to Rokansaari.
3:20 PM Return trip via Sahanlahti to Puumala harbor, arriving no later than 5:00 PM
5:15 PM Return trip by bus to Mikkeli. The excursion bus will stop at Sahanlahti and Pistohiekka if necessary. Arrival in Mikkeli around 6:45 PM

Children 3 years and under travel free of charge

The ticket price includes: Round-trip transportation from Mikkeli by charter bus and a cruise on Lake Saimaa.

NOTE! Meals and coffee are not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately. Please contact the restaurant/boat staff directly regarding food allergies.

Tips for the trip

• You can board the excursion bus from Pistohiekka (Resort and Pistocamp) or Sahanlahti instead of the Mikkeli stops.

• You can also purchase a cruise-only ticket from port to port (Puumala).

• Puumala harbor

  • Take advantage of the harbor services before the cruise departure. The boat departs at 11:00 AM.

• Rokansaari

  • Visit duration approximately 30 minutes, but you can stay longer, in which case the visit time is about 3 hours. If you stay on Rokansaari, the visit to Pistohiekka will be skipped.

  • You can spend the day walking on the sandy beaches and ridges, and take a dip in the embrace of Saimaa or the turquoise waters of Umpilampi.

• Nestorinranta

  • Visit duration approximately 45 minutes. Contact: 040 5106208

  • Enjoy pancake coffee in the beautiful scenery of Saimaa. Purchase pancake coffee in advance from the bottom of the page. Pancake coffee is a separate purchase and the sale is directed to the service provider.
